This woman is out to change the world

This is Tinuke.
Mum. Entrepreneur. Mental health campaigner.
Yesterday she did something outstanding.

She stood up in front of a panel of venture capitalists.
And pitched her business for investment.
And she absolutely smashed it.

She had a huge smile on her face.
She got laughter from the panel.
Whoops from the audience.

And then she won first prize.
Significant investment to take her business to the next stage.

But more impressive than this.
Is what her business does.

Learning With Ez creates educational materials.
For parents of pre-schoolers.
That have children from diverse backgrounds as the main characters.
Her materials are autism friendly.
Aim to give parents confidence.
And helps children to feel seen.

The business is named after her son.
Ez.
Who has autism.
It exists because of her own experience of parenting.
And her drive to help other children see themselves reflected in the world.

I was privileged to be her pitch coach for yesterday.
An opportunity I received through being a mentor for Hatch Enterprise UK.
We worked together on her confidence, her deck, her delivery.
I could not have been more proud seeing her up there.
