Stop comparing yourself to others

When you work from the local coffee shop.
With your lovely friend.
And it looks like you have life and work just sorted...

But what's not visible.
Is that you've been up since 5am.
Because your daughter likes early mornings.
And has a runny nose.
And her snot's on your leggings.

One photo.
Of one moment in time.
We often miss most of the story a picture is telling.

Like the reason I'm in a coffee shop.
Because my friend's amazing mum is looking after Lilian today.
In our house.
As an amazing favour.
Because a month ago our childcare fell through.
And we're yet to find a new solution.

This is not a 'pity me' post.
This is a reminder.
For me, and maybe for you.
To stop comparing ourselves with others.
That what we see from the outside is not the full picture.
And that no one really has life and work sorted.
For where would be the fun in that? 😉
